US advertises on Google to snare surfers

This is an interesting article, so far we have been learning about various marketing strategies for “for profit” companies. This article speaks to one of the marketing strategies for the government, in this case the government of the United States. Where the article is discussing how the US state department, with a help of Google’s AdWords service , draws various internet users searching for words like “terrorism”, “Middle East peace”, “food aid”, etc. and redirects them the America.gov website in order to introduce/educate them with the country’s foreign policy, culture and society. Is there a place for marketing in “every home”!?!
